Wow! A year has flown by since I last sat down to type up a post. What have Mr. and Mrs. been up to? Well we were up to our ears in rabbits, It reminded me of the old Star Trek episode, The Trouble with Tribbles.
Our chickens have kicked into egg production mode and we are regularly selling out of eggs, they are $6.00 a dozen, if you are interested contact us. We added another goat to the herd, a beautiful and attention seeking Lamancha named Blue Ivy, (Ivy for short). The ducks have hatched. Yes, the ducks. Added to the flock are seven baby Peking ducklings, and boy are they cute. Then the pigs arrived. Three handsome fellas.
We added a saw mill and have begun collecting logs from the around the property to make some boards for projects.
Blueberry and raspberry bushes have been added to our blackberries, although in different areas.
We built out a commercial kitchen and will be adding the finishing touches to it and needed pieces of equipment so that we can provide preserves and baked goodness.
What's next? Mr. and Mrs. plan to build out the farm stand this summer and figure out how that will work.
