SWAG and Baby Bunnies

Well... There is a lot happening.  A real lot.  We ordered some hats, not many, but they are here.  All different colors.  Let us know what you think of them and if you would be interested in purchasing them for $25 each.  Again, there is currently a limited quantity, but we can order more if there is interest.

Baby bunnies.  One of our does, had 11 babies today.  That was exciting.  The other two does are due any time as well.  Pictures to come.  Mr. came home from work and while doing the rounds of collecting eggs and feeding the animals he opened the rabbit hutch to check on his Momma bunny and to his surprise he counted 11 brand new babies.  Mr. quickly collected all the babies and covered them up in the box.  Momma was so proud and kept checking to see if what Mr. was doing was okay.  So that was exciting.

Mrs. decided to play another round of "I know you just built that over there but let's move it over here."  What's it about this time, you ask? Well it's about run-in housing for the Emu we are getting, hopefully 1st week of June.  On our amazing property we have an old airplane hanger.  Mr. thought it was a perfect spot to build the house for the Emu, on the inside of.  He would cut on opening in the wall and fence in the area creating an amazing run outside for them.  He dutifully spent one day clearing out space in the hanger to accommodate the build.  Mr. and his son spent another day building the pen.  Mr. Grandpa came by and gave a hand for a bit too.  When Mrs. came home from work Mr. was excited to show Mrs. what was accomplished.  She agreed it looked great.  The next day, they went out together to plan where the fencing was going to go when Mrs. looked at Mr. and stated.  This is too far from the other animals and the house.  It needs to closer.  Down came the structure.  Good thing Mr. used screws to attach it together.  It is currently in process of being rebuilt in a new location.

We have baby chicks and keets in our new and improved brooder.  Keets are baby Guinea Fowl and the 50 chicks are Jumbo Cornish Broilers.  There are also 4 baby Canada Geese out in our pond with their Momma and Poppa.  Nothing we did but watching them is sure a distraction.

Looking so good and progressing so fast. I agree to have the emu where you can talk to them while gardening or hanging cloths. Good job folks
